…aimless…

and now he’s three…

Even though he’ll tell you he’s still 2, Asher turned 3 today. We had a very fun garbage party inspired by his favorite book, I Stink! The house was filled with energetic 3 year old boys and the only girl, his cousin Sadie, played along too. It was fun.

More fun with the family in the evening and he is now the proud owner of a garbage truck, a school bus, a 4×4 and a “Mack” semi-truck. He’s loving the fact that these are HIS toys, not the hand-me-downs from his brother – who still claims them when it’s convenient.

We reflect back on the past year, and notice how he’s grown, physically, verbally, in all ways a two-year old should. Mostly, we notice how his happy nature continues to grow, longing to suck others into his streams of laughter over whatever he thinks might be funny. He continues to be the blessing God gave to us six months after his birth and we continue to thank and pray for his birth mother… for surely she is wondering about this blessing too.
